Rosebud Dental Group is a family orientated private dental practice that has proudly been part of the Mornington Peninsula for more than 40 years.

Established at the end of 1973 in Wannaneu Place in Rosebud by Dr. Peter Irving, it was then relocated by Dr. Birgitta Callisen in the early 1980's to the front of the 1533 Point Nepean Road site.  Dr. Derek Nutting took over the clinic in 1986 and relocated it to its present position at the rear of 1533 Point Nepean Road in 1993.

Since its inception the clinic has always strived to provide a high standard of care to its patients, in 2013 Rosebud Dental Group became one of the first dental practices in Australia to achieve accreditation.  By achieving accreditation a dental practice demonstrates a commitment to the provision of excellent dental care.

With the increased restrictions in Metropolitan Melbourne which includes the Mornington Peninsula, we are committed to providing your dental care safely and are dedicated to maintaining our stringent infection control standards.

We have chosen to enter Level 2 dental restrictions under the advice of the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch.  Although not mandatory, we agree with the ADA that this is best decision for the safety of our patients, staff and the broader community.

Unfortunately, this means that some treatment may need to be postponed and you will be contacted if this is required.

What else has changed at Rosebud Dental Group since COVID became a part of our lives?

- SMS and phone screening of patients for COVID risk factors.

- Social distancing requirements at our reception.

- Social distancing in the waiting room with limited seating.

- Patients are asked to sanitise their hands on entry and exit of the practice.

- Patients must wear a mask into the clinic aligning with government regulations.

- Patients are welcome to call the clinic on arrival and wait in your car with the reception team calling when the dentist is ready for you.

- If patients arrive too early for their appointment they may be asked to wait in their car.

- No contact items in the waiting room such as magazines.

- We ask that you come to the clinic on your own where possible (or with just one parent / carer / guardian / support person).

- We ask that patients call the clinic rather than come into the clinic to make their appointments.

- We are encouraging patients to fill in their medical history updates if we have requested one, at home either with the paper copy we have posted to you or the emailed digital version.  (If you would like to fill one in at the clinic, consider bringing your own pen).

- In the clinical rooms pre-procedural mouthwash for all patients 6 years and over.

You must cancel and reschedule your appointment if:

- You have any cold or flu symptoms

- If you are waiting on COVID results.

- If you have contact with someone who has or is suspected of having COVID.

- Are currently under any kind of directive to stay home (i.e. the government has identified you as a close contact of a confirmed case).
